Ted Shawn and His Men Dancers at Jacob's Pillow
Hello all!
It seems I am gearing up for another summer full of performances, the first being at Jacob's Pillow! I am super excited about this one! Not only do I get to perform in a beautiful outdoor space with an incredible history, but I also get to spend the next week in my old stomping grounds of Albany, NY. It's great how performances end up being an excuse for a vacation sometimes.
Claire Jacob Zysman and Dancers is a newly formed company by a good friend of mine, of the same name. I am thrilled that I get to do this project with her and revisit her piece, Meu Fado, which is both dramatic and feminine. The program will include several other pieces, including a solo of hers that I am particularly fond of, with live music by Brian Melick.

If you decide to make the trek out, you will not be disappointed. The performance, that will be on Sunday July 1st, is part of an all day event, Community Dance Day, celebrating Jacob Pillow's 80th Anniversary. The festival offers free performances, workshops, games, tours, exhibits, and more! We are on at 10:45am, so make sure to set your alarm clock.
Also on the docket for the day is Jason Fenton, from the Albany area as well, teaching a workshop in East Coast Swing at 10:20am!
