Hi everyone!
I wanted to share this photo that was taken a couple weeks ago at a performance I was in, Mixed Drinks, by Philly's Dance Photographer extraordinaire, Bill H. This man really knows how to catch some great moments!.....and yes, I wore socks like all the cool kids are doing these days. If you follow my blog then you know that this performance randomly paired composers with choreographers. The exciting catch being that the choreographers didn't get their music until the evening before the show. One of the dancers did a nice write up of her experience in this process which you can view here.
I was paired with Sammy Shuster, one of the only pieces of music in the program with vocals. I personally find music with lyrics difficult to choreograph to, so I was happy that I created the piece before I got the music. Click here if you'd like to listen to the track.
